 Macaroni and Cheese



Ingredients:

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni (about 2 cups dry)
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)




Instructions:

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and stir constantly until it thickens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Combine sauce with cooked macaroni. Serve hot!
